A wooden slicker, also called an Edge Burnisher, is a hand tool used in leathercraft to smooth, compress, and polish the edges of vegetable-tanned leather after the edge has been cut, sanded, and beveled.

Its made to accommodate different thicknesses of leather.

Typically 3-4 layers of leather depending on the thickness of the leather.
